I presume RCMO was at Khe Sanh during Tet of '68 -- Probably the most intense fighting of anywhere in that war. I got there in Tet of '69 and was expecting all Hell to break loose again, but the bad guys (NVN) had shot their wad in '68.  Our POLITICAL leaders and Joe Civilians were still not realizing that we could have nailed the crap outta the bad guys after they had blown it all in '68 -- we waited too long!  RCMO needs to get checked for a PTSD diagnosis so he can apply for a VA pension to compensate all the suffering he has been doing for over 30 years, I'll bet!

Holly, whatever it means to you, God BLESS you for loving the vets in your family and outside it too! We ARE family and I'd sure like to give you one helluva hug! It might not be all innocent either so perhaps just as well THIS way!  MUAH!  OOOOOO

Holly, BabyDoll, I don't check in here very often anymore but when I do, it's to catch one of your latest! I'm late opening it up but this is one HELLUVA great post -- I WAS SMILING EAR-TO-EAR AS I READ IT! Atta-Girl, bigtime!

I don't remember if you revealed it or not, but I think I know who the one man who could hurt you if he's from your past... and I'm sorry & I feel for you.  I'm sorry for you tho I've never done anything like that & would not.  I have known too many sweet girls who have to react to the ancient history by reliving it or taking it out on good guys who don't deserve it. (I'm thinking of my idiot ex- now & she had a "normal IQ" sadly.) Your Genius level IQ has undoubtedly helped you to not only survive, but to thrive.  I have known a few girls who've entered the same profession and I am sure it's because of their "ancient history" -- I guess a smart person can turn tragedy into triumph this way, and glad you have been able to!  Your IQ is higher thn may who go on for a Doctoral degree -- if you can stand the drudgery of studies, I'd LOVE to write Dr. Holly some day! U'd probably enjoy discovering all KINDS of stuff in your graduate studies and I'm sure you can do it in sexology or a related topic if that IS yur passion.  AND you might well be able to impact the field for other sex workers benefit as well as their clients!

Think about it -- there are GOOD, doctoral programs available ONLINE! You might have to do it in psychology if u can't find a program closer to what u want.  But psychology covers all this stuff & you could do some great doctoral dissertation research! They are listed in a great thick handbook put out as a Peterson's Guide to Oline Degree Programs or something close to that.  Probably available on Amazon.com for about $50 but worth it if u think about it. Deductible for educational or professional expenses if u declare tax income.

BTW, I LOVE this pic and will print it out soon. (The red finger notwithstanding -- see, I'm smart too! LOL) But if you have a version which actually shows your features a little more representationally, I'd love to buy it!  Write me an eMail if there is a way. Granted, the one above IS very artistic.  Love you, Girl! OXOXO

Interesting!  I might have known when a newspaper published my first poem written at age 11-12 that I was not like many other people.  America's insistence on equality (basically, a GOOD thing) leads us to interpret that as SAMENESS... which we are NOT! For better and for worse... My G-ma said, " You have to take the bitter with the sweet."  Bitter, however, is easier to take if there is sufficient sweetness -- mash the aspirin into a spoonful of grape jam! Keep on keepin' on!

Well, Holly, I don't get here much anymore but it's a doozy when I do!  Of course, I agree with YOU!  The knucklehead Christian giving knuckleheaded advice obvious doesn't have any qualifications in counseling or psychology.  And such a victim doesn't CONFESS, she REVEALS something she did not cause.  Religion has many positive aspects and a few negative ones.  Those for whom it works will see it as the ONLY way and remain ignorant of how it is not necessarily going to work for any given person, no matter how hard they try!  BTW, tell feralknucklehead there are 73 books in the Bible if he will go to the FIRST Christian Bible in existence -- the Catholic one.  How come the Protestants left out 7 books?  (I finally found out recently but I dont think feral even knows that basic fact & yet he probably goes with the idea that no one should cut out one sentence from the Word of God (the Bible).  Most things are not so simple.  Now I gotta go walking -- givem Hell, Holly!

It's pretty but she will have trouble all her life with people not knowing how to say it or spell it!  I know cuz my true Dutch surname is a hassle like that (easy to say once you know it but always hard to remember correct spelling.)  If you must, make Nevaeh her MIDDLE name!  I think you should take one of YOUR choices and one of HIS choices for her name. What a child is called can have tremendous psychological effects and can cause bothersome trouble all one's life.  Think for instance, a kid named Richard -- even if you call him Rich (my preferred choice), some rude ass will call/tease him with Dick throughout his entire life!! Love you guys, but that's what I think!

I know U know to hang in there best u can and things will get better -- Blogging about it is a good way to deal with releasing the stress of it all!

I guess the Show-Me state next door has a LOT of a-holes (learned from MY recent contacts there).  Just don't let them turn YOU into one by having to deal with THEM! I feel for your frustration -- most everyone is just taking care of themselves and not looking after you, so you HAVE to speak up and insure your own rights are respected.  Rely on your supporters to buoy your spirits!

Hey, #9, thanks for the shout back!  I always heard Bartenders were "Practical Psychologists" anyway -- certainly, Therapists often!!  I don't have that text but there are an unbelieveable # of good, new General/Intro Psych texts on the market!  Feel free to pick my brain (or whatever) anytime u want! LOL  I'm sure the course will expand ur horizons in understanding the behavior of ur patrons (I DON'T mean just tequila-drinkers.)

The first course in psych is the "toughest," I think, cuz each chapter is a totally new subject -- some of it will bore u, but some of it will fascinate u!  If ALL of it fascinates u,. think about becoming a psych major.  But chat with me first cuz, altho psych  helps with EVERY career field, to WORK IN the field, u have to finish at least a Master's Degree.  If a Social Work major appeals too, it is more employable because SW advocates are more politically active in getting laws passed benefitting THEIR subfield of the profession.  9 Hugs for the #9 Bartender!

How bout "disorders which cause all sorts of perversions and variations in sexuality" like all the FL teachers who are sexing underage boys lately (lately, that we know of).  Or the stupid predators on 20-20 shows? Or parents molesting their kids and turning both boys & girls into prostitutes and/or "perverts" who pass on the disorder the same way: Mistreatment & wrong learning.  Things are so weird sexually and responsibility-wise, I think I'll just stay celibate another 12 years--ain't been much good safe fun since I graduated high school, anyway!  And those of us who believe in Love are treated and played like fools! !#$%& BadWord BadWord, CussCussCuss!  Surrounded by Idiots!

When they are not in class, MANY college "kids" do stupid and dangerous things which are not taught about in classes!  Especially if it seems like a "cool" or "in style" thing to do!  Many of them smoke shit that they have no idea what it's been laced with -- somehow, a "legally-sold" bottle of booze seems safer and certainly is not known for its poisonous qualities.  Drunken ones, yes; poisonous ones, no.  SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE TRUTH!  AND RISKY BEHAVIOR!!
